Teddy Car Bed Size GuideUpdated 2 hours ago

Choosing the right Teddy Car Bed size depends on both your dog and your vehicle. Your dog should have enough room to sit, lie down, and reposition comfortably while the bed still fits securely in your vehicle.

The Teddy Car Bed is available in XS, S, and M/L.

How Do I Choose the Right Size?

When selecting a size, consider:

  • Your dog's weight and body length
  • How your dog normally sleeps
  • Whether your dog prefers to curl up or stretch out
  • The amount of space available in your vehicle
  • Whether one or more dogs will be using the bed

We recommend measuring both your dog and your vehicle's seating area before ordering.

How Should I Measure My Dog?

Measure your dog while they are lying in their normal sleeping position.

  • If your dog usually curls up, measure the approximate space they occupy while curled up.
  • If your dog prefers to stretch out, measure from their nose to the base of their tail while lying down.

Your dog should have enough room inside the bed to comfortably change positions.

Should I Size Up?

If your dog is between sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size, provided it fits properly in your vehicle.

Sizing up can be especially helpful if your dog:

  • Likes to stretch out
  • Has a long body
  • Frequently changes sleeping positions
  • Is still growing
  • Will be sharing the bed with another dog

Will the Teddy Car Bed Fit My Vehicle?

The Teddy Car Bed is designed to work with a wide variety of vehicles, but seat dimensions and configurations can vary.

Before ordering, we recommend measuring the area where you plan to install the bed and comparing those measurements with the dimensions listed for your selected size.

Do not rely on your dogs breed alone when determining fit.

Can Two Dogs Share a Teddy Car Bed?

Yes, as long as both dogs can fit comfortably and the bed can still be properly secured in your vehicle.

  • Measure your dogs while they are lying together to estimate how much space they need.
  • Each dog should also be appropriately restrained while the vehicle is moving.

What If I'm Still Not Sure?

If you're deciding between two sizes, consider both your dog's measurements and the available space in your vehicle.

When both sizes will safely fit your vehicle, we generally recommend choosing the larger size for additional comfort.
